Imagen's question of the day asks listeners/readers if they would prefer a value-added tax or more government debt. Eighty-seven percent said they'd prefer the tax. Having grown up in the nation that produced Jack Kemp, Ronald Reagan, and Grover Norquist, I find this just astounding. It shows what a couple of debt crises can do to make alter the national outlook.
