Regulator Grows Teeth
Mexico's Federal Competition Commission suspended joint operations between two railroad companies (Ferromex and Ferrosur) and fined them the maximum legal amount (around $35 million) for monopolistic practices, in a move that Excélsior called "historic". Hopefully, they will move onto other industries beset by a lack of competitions.
