According to surveys from Excélsior's pollsters, the PRD's campaign ads have been the most memorable, with 46 percent having some recognition. The Green Party spots, which have prominently featured songstress Maite Perroni and actor Raúl Araiza, came in second place with 34 percent expressing awareness of the Green ads. The PAN, despite running more spots than any other party, came in third with 32 percent, followed by the PRI at 29 percent. Given that the last two are virtually certain to be the first and second most powerful parties in the Chamber of Deputies, perhaps we should conclude that ads aren't all that important to electoral success.
Further findings: far more people generally liked the ads (45 percent) than disliked them (29 percent). And, the PAN's ads were the most polarizing, with the highest number of people expressing both positive and negative opinions of their campaign material.
