Popularity Problems for the PRD and the Mexican Left

According to Excélsior's popularity measuring stick, the perredistas with the highest profile are, in order, AMLO, Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas, and Marcelo Ebrard, a trio that surprises no one. Among the three, Ebrard is the most popular, with 52 percent expressing a good or very good opinion of him, followed by Cárdenas (48 percent expressing a good or very good opinion) and AMLO (31 percent). None of the three reach the levels of popularity enjoyed by the most beloved (or tolerated, anyway) panistas or perredistas.
