Local Reaction to Friedman

I believe I've mentioned my surprise that when the New York Times or the Washington Post or the Wall Street Journal has an editorial or even a front-page news story about Mexico, it's often front page news here, but when their more influential columnists write about Mexico, the reaction is comparatively muted. For what it's worth, the recent Friedman piece provoked an approving column from Yuriria Sierra today.
