Downgrade?
A senior Fitch analyst said that if Mexico doesn't improve its fiscal situation, the country's debt rating could be downgraded from its present BBB+, a mark which itself is the result of a November downgrade. As a result, Mexican bonds and the peso dropped, despite a response from the IMF saying that Mexico was in a good position to withstand the crisis.
