Paying Up
IMF boss Dominique Strauss-Kahn said yesterday that despite reserves of some $70 billion, a $47 billion credit line from the IMF, and another from the Fed worth $30 billion, Mexico is in danger of not being able to make debt payments. He also said that Mexico has pursued the correct policies as the crisis began to unfold, but the issue is just a lack of reserves matched with large deficits.
