Seven Large
According to El Universal, 7,000 Mexicans have been killed in drug violence this year. That's slightly below the 7,400 offered by Milenio last week, though still quite high. If one accepts the El Universal number, Mexico seems likely to wind up with somewhere in the range of 7,500 narco deaths on the year, a jump of about 1,200 from last year.
