Evidently, the Águilas are interested, but Everton's got a leg up. As I said the first time the rumors surfaced, I'd love to see Donovan in yellow. Dozens of the rabid América fans would pass out from the emotional confusion, while the rest of the Mexican league followers would hate América that much more.
Also, América forward Salvador Cabañas, who had a heated argument with coach Chucho Ramírez as the two made their way off the field following their elimination a couple of weeks ago, wants out of Mexico City (his unhappiness is not, as far as we know, due to the Donovan rumors), and is close to signing a deal with West Ham.
