Amnesty Report on the Way

Via Boz, The Times reports that a new Amnesty International report will, like Humans Rights Watch before it, accuse Mexico's military of myriad human rights violations.

Update: Not related to the Amnesty report, new CNDH boss Raúl Plascencia says that complaints of criminal acts by the police and the military have tripled this year.

Update 2: Amnesty's Mexico rep is calling for demonstrations at Mexican embassies around the world in protest of the use of the army for domestic security tasks.
