Mexico State Race Growing Less Interesting

Despite the historic reunion of Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas and Andrés Manuel López Obrador in Alejandro Encinas' campaign kickoff event, the latter's candidacy for the Mexico State governor's post has not taken off. Indeed, two weeks in, Eruviel Ávila's lead has grown from its initial spread of almost 30 points to an advantage of just over 30 points. One can only imagine how well he'd be doing if he had 10,000 pledges instead of a mere 6,000.
