Teflon Felipe's approval appears to be slipping. According to polling published today in El Universal, 54 percent of Mexicans approve of his tenure, compared to 57 percent last November, and 66 percent in February of 2008. Oddly, however, the number of citizens who disapprove of Calderón's administrate dropped significantly (11 points) as well. Perhaps economic uncertainty causing uncertain judgments as well. Or, more likely, it's because El Universal just changed pollsters. Whatever the case, I'll be interested to see Mitofski and the rest of the polls in the next couple of weeks.
