Mexican Diva Spat Goes Worldwide

Singer Gloria Trevi has sued talk show host Pati Chapoy for defamation, because of comments the latter made about the former's imprisonment for child exploitation. The suit was filed in Texas, which has jurisdiction because Chapoy's program is aired on Azteca América in the US. The prospect of Trevi and Chapoy duking it out in an American courtroom seems reason enough alone for promoting bilingual broadcasting.
