Better Late Than Never

Eugene Robinson's column on Cuba a couple of days ago was dead on, both in his criticism of the Congressmen who acted like a bunch star-struck teens after their audience with Fidel Castro, as well as in his comments about the timidity of the changes the Obama administration made to our relationship with Cuba. I don't know how correct it was, but the section on the nuance of race in Cuba was also thought-provoking. By my very loose count, Robinson only writes about Latin America once every two years or so, but when he does, his years of experience in the region ordinarily shine through.

Also, it seems like Fidel has been a lot more prominent over the last several weeks. I've read or heard no speculation, but he is he getting healthier?
