Big-time Gangs

Mexican papers are reporting that the Department of Justice's National Gang Threat Assessment says that twenty American gangs account for 58 percent of the drug distribution in the US. Said gangs are increasingly linked to Mexican traffickers. I can't find the report online (server problems on the DoJ page, evidently), but I hope to have a link to it up before too long.

A random observation: I love how government reports (like this one) don't leave pages entirely blank; instead, they drop the helpful note, "This page intentionally left blank." onto the middle of the page. Until I get to the note, I'm always worried that it was in fact an accident. It's often the most enjoyable prose in such reports.
