Most Hated Phrase in the Spanish Language

No, it's not, Perdió la selección, though certainly it would be different had the survey occurred next June. According to a recent survey, the phrase Spanish-speakers round the world hate the most is, Me entiendes?, which can mean, "Do you understand me?", in which case if often feels like a bludgeoning assault on one's intelligence; or, "Do you know what I mean?", in which case it comes across as a gnat-like sound that actually does lower your intelligence.

I tend to say "me explico" instead. "Am I being clear?" instead of, "get it?"

Yeah that's definitely a lot less grating, although it was on the list too.
