Supporting the Takeover

One not entirely reliable measure of Mexicans' reaction to the LFC takeover: more than 93 percent of the respondents to an Imagen online/radio poll approve. I say not entirely reliable because it's a slightly right-of-center outlet, although I wouldn't say most of their programming (at least, here in Torreón) is explicitly political, and their target audience is middle class more than it is right wing. Nonetheless, that's an argument against the hitching PRD hitching its wagon to the SME and Martín Esparza.

Along those lines, Bajo Reserva reports that Jesús Ortega, unlike some of his fellow perredistas, has been careful to avoid committing himself to either side in the conflict.
