Exonerated

A Supreme Court investigation has cleared Vicente Fox of any wrongdoing in the 2006 Oaxaca teachers dispute, although three dissenting justices voted to hold him and several cabinet officers responsible for the mayhem. The Court voted unanimously that Governor Ulises Ruiz, whose allegedly fraudulent election was a major driver of the conflict, was responsible for violating protestors' human rights during the conflict. That finding will now be sent to the national and local Congress, to Los Pinos, and to the PGR, so that each organ may decide about the appropriate criminal and political penalties.
