Flu Polling from Mitofsky
Either 65 or 70 percent (there's some contradiction, but I'd guess it's the former) approve of the way that Felipe Calderón is handling the flu outbreak. At the same time, 45 percent think the government is hiding information, which would seem to suggest that at least 10 percent of Mexicans don't mind being lied to. Seventy-five percent of respondents say that the measures taken were appropriate, while 11 percent said stronger actions were called for. In a symbol of the everlasting dominance of the television over other Mexican media, 85 percent got their information about the outbreak from the tube.
