Cuba and Mexico, No Longer So Friendly

If there was any question about whether Calderón would follow through with his trip to Cuba, this should kill it: Fidel Castro publicly accused Calderón of hiding the flu outbreak. And backtracking slightly from a post yesterday, I think it's fair to say that there was an ideological component to Castro's comments. He certainly would never have made such a comment about Venezuela, regardless of the reality.

The scheduled visit seemed to have much less to do with Fidel's wishes than with Raúl's. Am I the only one who suspects that Fidel has gotten healthier and is trying to sabatoge Raúl's mild openings with the rest of the world? Has there been any reporting on this?
