Catching Up

One thing I had been wondering about was the public opinion of Ebrard's handling of the flu. It actually appeared in Monday's Excélsior and I missed it: 53 percent of respondents say that Ebrard showed the capacity to protect his constituents during the flu crisis, while another 12 said that he was only partially capable. These are slightly less favorable than Calderón's numbers. The figures in Mexico City are a bit more worrying for Ebrard: only 44 percent said he was capable, against 38 percent that said he was not. I chalk that up more to the different perspective in DF, since Calderón's results were comparatively lower in the capital as well.
