The number of Mexicans leaving the country for the US or other foreign countries has dropped precipitously, according to Inegi's Eduardo Sojo, who was reporting a bunch of data from the 2010 census. From 2000 to 2005, 450,000 Mexicans emigrated annually, while today, that number has dropped to just 140,000 today.
Another interesting piece of info: the median age in Mexico is 26, up from 22 in 2000, and 19 in 1990.
