Ebrard Sets a Date
Marcelo Ebrard will be leaving office to pursue the presidency in January of 2012, should he be "better positioned electorally than Andrés Manuel López Obrador", he said yesterday. He said he would begin to campaign for the PRD's nomination during the last three months of 2011. Ebrard also reiterated his support for the Mexico State alliances, but said that a unified campaign with the PAN in 2012 would be "against nature", using the same odd formulation that lots of others have as well.
