The Dream Is Dead

It has long been a hope of mine to see the 2012 presidential race pit Peña Nieto, Ebrard, and Santiago Creel against one another, since they all have links to soap opera stars and the whole campaign could be treated like a reality show or an episode of La Hora Pico. (On a somewhat related note, for anyone reading this from Mexico, is there a more grating personality in the history of entertainment than Pati Chapoy's?) Alas, that's not to be; Ebrard has separated from his wife Mariagna Prats, whom he married right around the time he was elected mayor.
