Another New York Institution in Slim's Hands

He bought the Goldman Sachs building. That follows his minority stake in the NY Times. Next up: the NY Stock Exchange? The Yankees? Jay-Z?

Slim loves baseball and the Yankees so why not? He could make "the boss" an offer he couldn't refuse. Also, the Yankees are an excellent business - not just a vanity project - something that no doubt interests Slim.

Cant imagine the Steinbrenners would be willing to part with the franchise, but who knows. Stranger things have happened. It'd be interesting to see the firestorm among MLB officials to have their iconic franchise in foreign hands.
