Rebound

Mexico's economy shrank in the third quarter by 6.4 percent compared with the third quarter in 2008. That's a grim number, but it follows drops of 8.2 percent and 11 percent in the first and second quarters this year. Furthermore, compared with the second quarter of this year rather than output a year ago, Mexico's GDP actually grew by 2.7 percent from July through September of this year.
