New Low
Mitofsky's monthly approval measure of Felipe Calderón's public approval has slipped to 58 percent approving of the president, which ties February 2007 (his second full month as president) for the lowest figure of his presidency. He has also had five months of 59 percent support. This marks the seventh straight month in which public support of Calderón has failed to inch northward. Fifty-eight percent is still a healthy number, but the poll's direction is not what Los Pinos would like it to be.
