Tax the Poor

Imagen's online poll yesterday asks the following question:

Deputies are thinking about more heavily taxing the activities, habits, and customs "of the rich". Is that the best formula?

More than 80 percent said no. The question is a bit loaded, what with the vague formulation and the square quotes. However, the fact that eight of ten respondents at a center-right but still mainstream website didn't see through that and opt for a progressive tax structure is striking.
