The Perfect Place for Schilling

Given his stated reasons (only occasionally brushing up against coherence) for a Senate candidacy, his philosophy (vaguely populist), and, most importantly, his years of savaging the Yankees/Yanquís, wouldn't Curt Schilling be a better candidate for Latin American public office? Especially if he had a time machine and could run as his 2009 self in the 1980s.
