Good Observation

El Universal's editorial yesterday included an interesting observation toward the end:
Through it all, it must be celebrated that, despite the demands for a change of course, all of the opposition voices yesterday showed respect to the president and willingness to cooperate.
Not since the first days of his presidency seemed so weak, yet the opposition greeted him with the least hostile ("warmest" doesn't seem quite accurate) reception of any of his three informes. That suggests a certain king of the mountain element of Mexican politics: no one cares about beating up on you unless you are riding high. Although I'm not sure if that interpretation is universally true, or if this is just an anomaly.
