You can be a federal deputy in Mexico at the ripe old age of 21. Indeed, Lizbeth García of the PRD is a federal deputy at 21. Said García:

I am 21 years old on my birth certificate, but I seem older, everyone tells me that, probably because I talk like an older kid.

For some reason the above quote made me think of Danny Almonte. She also expressed hope that not everyone would refer to her as usted, despite her position.
