We have less than two months until college football kicks off. ESPN has Tennessee finishing third in the SEC East, which is understandable, predictable, and irritating as hell. It's been ten years since the Vols last won the SEC title. It's been seven years since the Vols had a team capable of competing with the nation's best. Ugh.
One possible source of hope is new offensive coordinator Dave Clawson. One big reason why: he's not related to Casey or Rick, as I worried when I first heard his name. Check out a two-part interview with him here and here. One thing I like is that he challenges almost all of the players he names. He's not rude about it, but he doesn't come across as an ego-stroker either. Light some fires under some hides, Dave!
