One Dismissive German

Germán, I mean, as in Germán Martínez. The PAN president on next summer's midterm elections:
We know, and it's clear, that to carry our these reforms the dialogue will be with the PRI, but also that from today, and a year from now, we're letting them know that the election in 2009 is against the PRI.
Not figuring in Martínez's comment was the PRD, the second largest force in congress, and the presidential runner-up in 2006. One man's obviously biased view does not amount to the permanent irrelevance for the PRD, but 2009 certainly could be a giant step toward second-tier status for the Party of the Aztec Sun.
