Bad News for the SME
The Supreme Court tossed the SME's petition to form an investigative committee into the liquidation of the LyFC. SME boss Martín Esparza argued that the civil rights of the 44,000 workers that were laid off had been violated. Esparza also took to the Zócalo today, calling for a new social pact to return power in Mexico to the people, and demanding the resignation of Labor Secretary Javier Lozano.
