Remittances to Mexico will drop by between 11 and 13 percent this year, according to the Inter-American Development Bank.
On a sort of but not really related note, Daily Kos asks where the grass-roots push for immigration is. I'd say the absence is explained by most of the liberal wind blowing other sails: health care and the economic recovery, from the budget to the stimulus package. It's always seemed unlikely to me that Obama will shoot for immigration reform before 2010, and slightly less unlikely that he will do so before 2012. (Thanks Alterdestiny.)
