Misinterpretation

Macario Schettino writes with a point about yesterday's post about a recent column of his:

I didn't mean that [the state was alone guilty for the crisis], but perhaps that's how it came across...Like you, I'm convinced that the crisis is the result of an excess of household consumption and the irresponsibility of the financial industry...but my point was to insist that these two things don't occur in a vacuum, but rather in an environment of inadequate state intervention.
