When Felipe Meets Barack

El Universal's Bajo Reserva column reports that the upcoming meeting between Calderón and Obama, which is the latter's first with a foreign head of state since being elected president, is the work of the Mexican ambassador to the US, Arturo Sarakhan. As recently as a week ago, the reunion seemed like an impossibility.

The agenda at the meeting will cover drugs and the dire economic straits.
