Moving On
Two leftist parties, Convergencia and the Workers Party, have formalized an alliance for the 2009 elections that does not include the PRD. The announcement today says that Andrés Manuel López Obrador and his followers will join the alliance, although I see nothing from AMLO in the article, so maybe that's not a sure thing. Representatives of the parties had harsh things to say about Jesús Ortega, such as (I paraphrase), He's not the PRD, and, He wants subordination rather than collaboration.
