That is a sharp contrast to the AMLO years, in which victimhood was something of a state of grace. AMLO seems to genuinely feel like a victim, but that's a bad way to approach politics from a substantive and an electoral standpoint. It's hard to take someone inclined to play the victim as a good-faith negotiator, and people like winners, so it's hard for the whinier candidate to win elections.
