Rough Month

In June, 769 Mexicans were killed in drug violence, the worst month of Calderón's presidency. Forty-three percent of those killings (325) took place in Chihuahua, while another 25 percent occurred in either Sinaloa or Guerrero. It was also the month with the highest number of policemen killed: 44.
