Gustavo Madero said that the PAN's loss should be the cause for "deep reflection", but disagreed with the idea that it is a rebuke to Calderón's government.

Incoming PAN deputy Gabriela Cuevas labeled the use of Calderón in the campaign a mistake.

Calderón called Vázquez and perhaps Martínez into a meeting at Los Pinos to discuss the losses.
