Mediocrity

The Colts are really not very good. The realization of the preceding point has been a chance to relearn a lesson I've been taught at least 79 times since I started watching football: if your unit's line is weak, the entire unit is weak. If the both the offensive and defensive lines are bad, then your team stinks. That's where the Colts are now, and I wish I'd understood that before dropping money on them three times this year. I'd put their offensive skill guys (Manning, Addai, Clark, Gonzalez, Wayne, and Harrison) above everyone else's in the league, and yet the offense doesn't hum for than a series or two. Their defense, especially without Sanders, can't stop the run or the pass, and there ain't much else.
