Big News
Federal police in Mexico City captured one of the so-called "seven horsemen" of the international drug trade, Ever Villafañe Martínez. The Colombian, the biggest kingpin caught during Calderón's term, will be extradited to the United States for trial. Calderón has taken some heat for not jailing more big fish. That's a crude way of measuring his policies' success, but it should buy him a grace period.
