Santos pulled out the victory with a 1-1 tie over Cruz Azul yesterday (3-2 in the global score). The difference was Daniel Ludueña's goal in the opening half; the defense left him way too much space, and he lifted a beautiful ball into the top-right corner of the net. After being limited by injuries for several weeks, it was nice to see Ludueña make an impact on the final. Azul netted the equalizer in the 37th minute of the second half, and close to seven minutes of extra time made for some heady moments late, but they couldn't close the deal.
I'll post photos of the celebration later. Dig Ludueña's golazo here, at about 0:47. And for Spanish speakers, enjoy the pissed-off comments from Azul fans.
