I was amused to see that the
Mexican national team's explanation for the five failed doping tests --contaminated meat-- sparked a furious denial from the nation's meat lobby and the
Health and Agriculture Departments. Mexican meat is safe and entirely untreated with clenbuterol, they say. So it's a scandal of some kind. We're just not sure if it's a soccer-integrity scandal or a food-safety scandal.
