According to the Mexican Congress, Mexico's
private security industry grew by 8 percent last year, while the overall economy contracted by around 7 percent, the worst slide since the Depression. In some states, such as Nuevo León, the growth rate was 33 percent.
If I had like $5,000 in spare cash and could find a mutual fund that specialized in Mexican security companies' stocks, this trend would be extremely relevant to my investing. Unfortunately I don't, but if you do feel free to poach the idea. A cut of the profits (if there are any) would also be nice.
