The List of the Unfortunate Grows

Arjen Robben joins Andrea Pirlo, Rio Ferdinand, Didier Drogba, Michael Ballack, Michael Essien, and John Obi Mikel on the list of injured stars likely to miss the World Cup. I'm probably paying closer attention to the run-up to the World Cup than ever before, but doesn't this list seem enormously long compared to previous years? And it isn't it odd that so many Chelsea regulars are among the jinxed?
