Switching Teams

Ricardo Monreal, a far-left perredista who in the not-too-distant past had served in leadership positions in the party, has defected to the Workers Party. The move keeps the Workers Party alive in the Senate (an earlier defection going the other direction put the party below the five-senator minimum), and would seem to presage the exit of a larger slice of the PRD.
